The gallery welcomes applications from established and emerging artists and curators. Proposed exhibitions may utilise single or multiple exhibition spaces. Applications assessed upon receipt by our curatorial team, so don’t delay your submission.

Selection criteria
Submissions must demonstrate one or more of the following:
Artwork that displays exceptional skill and craftsmanship.
Artwork that is contemporary, engaging in critical debate and analysis.
Artwork with strong market appeal.
Artwork that is experimental in nature, pushing boundaries conceptually or within a chosen medium.
Included in exhibition fee
Curatorial advice from industry experts in the the lead-up and during install of exhibitions.
Experienced exhibition install technician who will install your exhibition. Specialist/complex installations may require the exhibitor to install.
Gallery invigilators for gallery opening hours.
Exhibition opening event and paid bar service. Openings take place the first Friday of each exhibition, 6-9pm.
Gallery designed and printed hard copy invites and local distribution.
Gallery designed e-invites for artist distribution.
E-newsletter promotion (15,000+ gallery e-subscribers)
Online listing and promotion through gallery’s Facebook (15,000) and Instagram (35,000+) followers.
Cataloguing of all artworks, made available for direct purchase through our online Stockroom.
Documentation of exhibition and archiving on gallery website for posterity.
Listing in Art Guide (with late bookings Art Guide deadline may prevent listing. Please ask at time of booking).
Wall mounted artist statement and artwork listing.
Museum quality lighting with high colour rendition (CRI>90) with flood to focussed beam options.
The small print
Brunswick Street Gallery takes a 30% commission on all artwork sales. This includes GST.
We require artists, once their proposal has been accepted, to sign an artist agreement outlining artist and gallery's rights and responsibilities.
How to apply
In order to be considered for an exhibition at Brunswick Street Gallery we will need you to submit an exhibition proposal. This proposal will be made up of the following:
Up to 10 images of artworks indicative of those to be displayed (JPEG, clearly labelled, no single image larger than 500k).
Artist statement/exhibition statement and description of artworks (no more than 1000 words).
Your Curriculum Vitae (not applicable for first time artists).
