MAPPING EXTINCTIONS: LINDA KNIGHT
30 MARCH – 16 APRIL 2023

Mapping Extinctions explores beyond-the-human timescales by speculatively mapping wildlife during geologic upheaval. Taking as its starting point the devastating 2020 Australian bushfires, Knight creates dis-located drawings that reference botanical illustrations to comment on the ecological impacts of colonisation and how bushfires occur more frequently due to improper land management.

Opening event: Friday 31 March, 6 – 8pm
