Soft Power: April Shin

Soft power is the ability to persuade others and shape their preferences; of being able to get what you want without coercion - by using appeal and attraction. Dr. Joseph Nye pioneered the theory of soft power and explained the distinction between soft power and hard power. April uses 'soft power' in her series of striking artworks - to draw attention to everyday themes and elevate the value of ordinary lives.
