Stockmen Kantri: Jill Daniels

Jill Daniels is an artist living in Ngukurr, South East Arnhem Land, whose iconic bright and playful paintings in Stockmen Kantri (Stockmen Country) depict life in Ngukurr. In this series of work, we follow the lives of Jill Daniel’s enigmatic cowboys and cowgirls as they ride their horses, muster cattle, gather meat and travel across country.
Jill Daniels is an artist working with Ngukurr Art Centre, an art centre we have had the pleasure of partnering with in June 2022 for Our Country, curated by Karen Rogers.
Stockmen Kantri is Jill Daniels’ first solo Melbourne exhibition.
Stockmen Kantri is proudly held as part of Brunswick Street Gallery’s Ground Floor Gallery Project, proudly supported by City of Yarra.
