Themes in Undertones is a series of paintings by Edie Atkins that depict subtle still lifes and quiet Japanese scenes to create a calm atmosphere as relief to the noise around us. These paintings represent “Seijaku” - a Japanese concept for finding serenity amidst life's chaos. The work captures a moment's quiet beauty and invites us to look more closely.
