EXHIBITING
How do I apply for an exhibition at Brunswick Street Gallery?
To exhibit at Brunswick Street Gallery you will need to email us an exhibition proposal. This proposal will need to contain up to ten images, as well as an artist statement and current CV, if applicable. All information regarding exhibiting at the gallery can be found on our Exhibit With Us page. This page details exhibition T&C’s including fees and inclusions, gallery floor plan, what needs to be included in your submission, as well as what we look for in a successful exhibition proposal.
How do I apply to exhibit in upcoming group exhibitions?
Within our annual program our curatorial team curate multiple themed group exhibitions. To be considered for one of these group exhibitions you can check for any current group exhibition call-outs by clicking here. We encourage artists to follow us on our Instagram and Facebook, and sign up to our Artist Opportunities newsletter to keep abreast of current and upcoming call-outs.

How do I apply for one of Brunswick Street Gallery’s Artist Studios?
You are welcome to email us at manager@brunswickstreetgallery.com.au to check the availability of our Artist Studios. We also list any vacancies on Creative Spaces and our Artist Opportunities newsletter.

Are there any employment opportunities at Brunswick Street Gallery?
We are a very small team here at Brunswick Street Gallery. In the event there is a vacancy, they are listed on all relevant employment sites, most notably ArtsHub and our social media.
Can I volunteer at Brunswick Street Gallery?
Brunswick Street Gallery offers volunteer opportunities for those interested in gaining more hands-on experience in a gallery environment. Each volunteer will be assessed on their level of interest and what they intend to get out of a volunteer position at the gallery. Do you offer Internships?
We periodically offer project-focused unpaid internships to align with our larger exhibition or prize shows. These opportunities are hands-on and focussed on skill acquisition, with these positions requiring great dedication over short periods of time. These internship opportunities will be listed on our social media pages, however interested parties are encouraged to get in touch with us to express their interest for future projects. Do you offer Work Experience for students?
Unfortunately, we do not offer Work Experience programs at Brunswick Street Gallery.
VISITING us
Is it free to visit?
Brunswick Street Gallery is free to the public. Our exhibition opening events are also open to the public, capacities permitting.
Is your building wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately, due to being located in the iconic heritage Shawcross building, we are not wheelchair friendly. Entry to Brunswick Street Gallery is only via stairs. If we can assist you with any accessibility arrangements during your visit, such as digital catalogues, additional seating, sensory adjustments or any other requests we can accomodate please don’t hesitate to contact us by phone or email.
